The history of 60 Pond St.

This beautiful 1860 home has never been structurally modified or expanded. It has had many updates and supportive improvements since it was constructed but the exterior shape, window placement and room orientation have remained unaltered in its roughly 164 year history. It's amazing what 884sq ft on a tenth of an acre can provide to a family and a neighborhood.  That history includes housing many OA shovel factory employees, raising a 7 child family, and for 89 years it was the multi-generation home of the Lordan family.

What the future holds

The plan includes a complete interior renovation that brings the home up to date, while maintaining its charm and historical relevance. This tiny house created a stately appearance on its equally tiny lot at the corner of Andrews and Pond streets. The challenge is to find a design that modernizes the home while keeping its look within the neighborhood.

This website will be updated with plans as they develop.
